  • Great video...

  • Nice cat bro :D

Also the video was very helpful, thanks

  • @gutenschneider Classical guitar tops are also smaller and easier to keep stiff. The x-bracing provides a nice stiffness/weight ratio on bigger guitars. On standard classical guitars it's a stiffness overkill/tone killer at least for mass production guitars. There are luthiers who still make x-braced classical guitars, but of course it's all hand made, scalloped and custom designed and so on. With all the attention a hand made guitar receives, these of course sound great.

  • @gutenschneider It would explode.lol. Actually the x-bracing was invented by C.F.Martin and used on classical guitars somewhere around 1840-1850. But it didn't get a lot of attention until steel string guitars came up. Parallel or fan bracing usually gives a brighter sound and better projection on a classical. The x-bracing balances out the brighter sound of steel strings and also makes the top stiffer so it can handle the higher string tension.

  • What would happen if you put a steel string X bracing on a classical guitar? Has anyone ever tried this?

  • excelente!!!!
