Great advice. We have always cooked our meals "from scratch", are very healthy Old Folks with only one Prescription (BP) and our children are also phenomenally healthy AND everyone looks younger than our ages. However, I DO get violent reactions if ingesting anything with preservatives and artficial colors.

Have you tried Lean Body Blaster? (Go google it) It is a quick way for you to burn up fat fast.

Folks, I was raised on this ridiculous diet. ADHD was never a word that was used by this program in those days. I suffered mentally for years, watching my sibling eat whatever she wanted, while I met "No you can't" at every enticing turn of the palette. Then I got a hold of an allowance, and started buying my own damn candy. I got away with it for 6 months before I was discovered. When mom realized my behaviour hadn't changed I was off the diet. Folks PLEASE, don't do this to your kid.

Your mom just sounds like she didnt know what she was doing and was mean. I dont eat foods my child cant have and we dont keep it in the house. And luckily chocolate is allowed and there are many really delicious candies out there that you can have now. I trade my son the junky ones for the "better" ones and he has had no problems giving up the "crazy" food. Check out Unreal and yummy earth candy. And he eats pizza and nestle choc chips! And we use tom's silly strawberry toothpaste.

The only things permanently eliminated are artificial chemicals derived from petrochemicals and I dont see how that can possibly do anyone any harm whatsoever.

Sounds like many people's parent's didnt really understand how this diet actually worked. Sucks for you guys but please dont say it is horrible just because your parents didnt take the time to read past stage 1 of the diet. Yes it eliminates a number of fruits and vegetables but there are still many many available to eat. Then stage 2 ADDS THEM BACK IN 1 at a time to see if you have a reaction to them (I had and still have migraines and ADD). I can eat it all except oranges.

Now if you'll excuse me Wackzingo, I'm going to have some strawberries (which incidentally have many healthful benefits). Those were just one of my favorite things I could not have on the awful Feingold diet. I'm 32 years old and noone is going to tell me how to eat.

Not only is the diet restrictive, but studies have also shown that it's ineffective, dumbass. And no, I am not going to torture myself with this horrid diet. It will never happen again.
