It is election time in Kenya. On Thursday, Kenyans will vote in the tightest presidential race ever. Opinion polls show just three or four percentage points separate the two top candidates. Mwai Kibaki currently holds the top post and is seeking a second term, while opposition figure and former political prisoner Rila Odinga is challenging Kibaki on his record.
people should read africa policy brief. it was part of ODM strategy to cry rigged even before any vote was cast.

The concept of 'democracy' itself is at the core of the problem. I think that democracy is a misnomer that looks good on paper but impossible to implement on the ground. What Kenya needs is not a western (or any other) styled democracy; It needs homogenic solutions to its internal problems that are unique to its own geo-political and demographic makeup.
