Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Over 75% of lung cancer cases are diagnosed in the late stages because there is not a practical way to screen for this disease.
Even though individuals with a history of smoking are at a higher risk, an increasing number of individuals who have never smoked are being diagnosed with lung cancer. In fact, 10% of all lung cancer cases appear in individuals with no history of smoking at all.
TGen's Lung Cancer Research Lab is comprised of a dedicated group of scientists who are working to improve lung cancer detection, develop new therapies, and enhance our understanding of tumor biology.
