The original song was written by Phil Burns from the band Reno. It contained a sample they couldn't get clearance on so it didn't go on the album and was then picked up by Nancy Sinatra.

Before Lady Gaga, there was Nancy Sinatra-defining fashion in music and carving the way for beautiful & talented Italian-American songstresses. @lastrada52 she is, isn't she? That 2004 album is magnificent. Guess her daughter produced it. :-)
