The baby baboon died by the morning, although the leopard did try to protect it from the cold. Interestingly, the leopard did not eat it even after knowing that the baby had died. She just moved on.

The mother Baboon was alive or near death or dead is not clear, yes the affection and playful emotion toward baby Baboon is visible, rest do look forward to more precise details by NatGeo photographer and researcher on what is the real story and was mother Baboon dead or simply exhausted after giving birth to baby Baboon? What is the NatGeo photographer's personal comment on this?

It shows how wrong we are about these animals. We consider them fearful. But it shows that they are no different from us. We have a lot to learn about our nature and living things in it.
