I think the worse part for me is trying to come out to my parents. Everyone but my family knows and attempting to come out to my parents. Just never seems a good time. My dads a cancer patient, my mothers not willing to listen., and my sisters clueless. coming out is also about timing just trying to find that right time can be a bloody pain.

My Only, older brother was caught out, as it happens. My dad barely speaks to him, and my mom is accepting of it only because she doesn't want to lose het son. But she looked me in the eyes and told me she prays and hopes that I don't become gay. I'm gay.

i told 2 people last week... and yesterday my whole theatre class had this "emotion circle" everyone said something thats wrong or problems at home. so after a while i told my story and said that i am gay, it was a little hard but after that people said they respected me more & are proud of me because i told a HUGE group like that. So i would say be comfortable with yourself and tell people when the time is right for you, i did and now i get a ton of respect. :)

I'm already out to 5 friends who are all very accepting of it, I'm 14, and this scares me about coming out completely.

i just came out to my brother today and he did not take it too well.. he was absolutely disgusted by it and is in a state of total shock .. i now feel horrible about it and i feel that my entire life is collapsing around me like a house of cards i am so depressed right now..... my brother used to trust me , but now everything has changed i shoulda kept it a secret. FML...

It might help, to remind people that you're no different than you were before coming out, it's just that they know you a little better. Best of wishes to all--

I remember 3 times as a teenager trying to start that tricky "i'm gay chat" to my folks each time i was met with a wall of silence - In the end i settled for "i'm not the marrying kind" shortly after aged 17 I moved to the city on me tod - a few years latter on one of my few visits my mother said -" you were a good boy but we were relieved when you left" - now many years on they ask how WE are so I guess thats progress : )
