I should've told you to be a little more careful. There can be extreme drops around the nether dungeons, as you may have noticed. But if you adventure deep enough in them, you'll find things that are essential to brewing and finding the End. Also you shouldn't feel too bad about losing your stuff, your iron armour was about to brake and an iron sword with good enchantments will beat the diamond sword with the enchantment it had. I have to say congrats for not dying for so long. :)

i finally hit diamond in my singleplayer!!! 10 diamond, in about 5 minutes of mining! heres a tip i used to find it!

1. turn music to 0%

2. mine to bedrock layer, then go 1 up so you are always 1 stone layer above bedrock

3. mine around randomly and listen out for water from a cave.

4. turn it on peaceful.

5. try to get closer to the water until you locate the cave and enter it.

6. a cave this low down (diamond layers) has a very big chance to have diamond! and lava and water and obsidian.
