2001: A Space Odyssey Recut (Part 3 of 6) JUPITER MISSION

Edited the Discovery's intro flyby. Did verry little editing for the conversations that take place Dave, Frank, and Hal.

I myself had no problem with the way the original "2001: A Space Odyssey" was. But I've been seeing some negative reviews that some people have made about this movie not making any sense or being too long. All I have to say to them is that this movie was released in 1968 during a time where there didn't need to be quick cuts and an explosion happening every 10 seconds. Today's a.d.d. generation just doesn't appreciate the way movies were made 30, 40, 50+ years ago. So I decided to do a complete edit of the whole movie. I must have cut out AT LEAST HALF of the footage of the original movie.

So hopefully by doing this I can get people who never watched the whole movie or fell asleep from watching it, to watch the whole movie within a hours time.

I edited this 2 and a half hour epic down to about an hour. (58+ mins) And put the film into a 6 chapter story. THE DAWN OF MAN, TYCHO MAGNETIC ANOMALY ONE, JUPITER MISSION, ALPHA-ECHO-3-5 UNIT RECOVERY, BOWMAN VS. THE HAL 9000 COMPUTER, and JUPITER AND BEYOND THE INFINITE.

Well POPEYECOVE it turns out I am making my own full length feature movie. And when its done you can judge for yourself if its good or not. Sorry for making you mad about my edit. Let me stress this again; there is nothing wrong with the original version of 2001 I love it. Classic movies happen to be one of my favorite. The reason why I like them is that there are longer cuts, better performances by the actors and less phony c.g. @PopeyeCove

Even movies like Logan's Run (1976), Close Encounters (1976), Star Wars All (1977-1984) Outland (1981), Blade Runner (1982) and Alien (1979) and Aliens(1986) Alien 3 (1992) and the TV series Star Trek- didn't have flat screen tvs in it!

This movie went out of its way to do every single detail (recessing SQUARE tvs & making them look flat and ipads sceen 4:00 and beyond ... CRAZY awesome and this is in 1968!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!

This movie is brilliant. This condensation is not bad, considering how many parts of the full thing are blocked on YT, it is more complete than what you can watch of the "uncut" film :P

Guys, I don't think he had much choice, but to do the chop up. YT has pulled this movie repeatedly from other posts. He didn't need the captions though. Once it's chopped up, it gets around copy rights. So what he should of tried is the whole movie, un chopped, with captions?
