@Dodi9914 with the earth element, hes is the one aspect of GOD ( not to confuse with the god conception of monotheistic semitic religions, which is too limited ) that hindus prays first to, to remove the obstacles in any kind of activity, thus he guards the first chakra, which is the first attachments of humans, the materialistic and surviving ones, the first obstacle of humans to surpass in order to reach enlightenment... its very uncommon of u as a muslim to be researching on hinduism....

@Dodi9914 this is ganesh, on the mythic is the son of shiva and parati, which head was replaced by the one of a elephant when shiva cut it cos ganesh was guarding parvatis bath, he was born from the soil that came from her body, and didnt know shiva, so he stop shiva from seeing parvati, and shiva got angry, on the esoteric, ganesh is that power of the ABSOLUTE that puts and removes obstacles, hes is the guradian of the first chakra, the muladhara ( root-base in sanskrit ) which is identified...
