  • @Kakarot21591 It is there. In fact, it is number 2 on the list; Beethoven's 14th Sonata, which is in Opus 27 number 2, is the entire Moonlight Sonata. So it was included, just not played in this short video. Only the first movement, not the other two.

The interpretation played here of that movement, by the way, is definitely not anywhere near the top of my list for interpretations of that movement. You should listen to Artur Rubinstein's.

  • @sergeantbreinholt This version is played by Vladimir Horowitz and is by far the best version existing to date, the Arthur Rubienstien version is to slow almost more like a lullaby

  • @sergeantbreinholt

I totally disagree with this list. Where on earth are Mozarts piano concertoe, 20 and 21 often regarded as the best ever made within classical music. And whre is Brahms 1 and 2 piano concertos - also they regarded as some of the Best. And Finally where is Beethovens 3,4 ot 5 piano concerto ?

  • @rkj1963 Then you have no idea what "solo" means in the musical world, it means that it is played by a single instrument.. Not a orchestra and therefor there is no piano concertos on this list

  • @wickweak Yeah, the part that starts at 1:44 sounds like the song in pokemon red/blue version when you get on your bicycle.

  • OMG number 8!!

    love this

i got to learn how to play this on the piano!!

  • pretty good list but i think la campanella and fantasie impromtu should have been included in there somewhere, but then again its all a matter of taste.

  • I agree with some of you who find that there are better piano sonatas missing on this list ..where is handel's, mozart's and chopin's best compositions, even though this is a piano list he could've include a bach's harpsichord ... however this is ( THE UPLOADER'S TOP 10 ) , we have to respect that... I enjoyed the list is nice ..

  • baremboin interpretando el movimiento lento de la sonata hammerklavier, ése si es un numero 1

  • Liszt, Presto Strepitoso, that piece is literally (I mean literally) unplayable. No on has played it without mistakes and maintaining speed. Since it can't be really counted, El Contrabandista is an amazing virtuosic peice

  • i dont like the top, more chopin, more liszt....

  • Liszt "Lacampanella"

  • Lacampanella

  • Lacampanella
