yes the original version is best for me ..straight from the tapes, no technical enhancements, hear this double mono or 2x four track and you really realise this band was one of the greatest all times .. and underestimated

Very interesting! Rhayader Goes to Town is indeed a very good song. Hard to say which is my favourite version... The guitar is most impressive on the second one here (Hammersmith Odeon, May 11th 1984), but the keyboards may be best on the third or first one. The drums and bass are best on the first, third and fourth, NO doubt. If you haven't, check out the versions from Never Let Go (1993) and Coming of Afe (1997) as well!
So, which part do you think of these four versions is the best?
