  • Patrick, but what if there was not infinity, but the real number? Then it will be the first term of the first pair MINUS the last term of the last pair, isn't it right? Also, you didn't mention that telescoping sun is only awailabe when the coefficients are the same and ODD, and also, most importantly, terms have to be consecutive. FOr example. x, and x+1, or x-2 and x-3, etc... Otherwise there's no telescoping sum.

  • @patrickJMT hahah literally man, sometimes i sit and see so many videos on the same subject that i have trouble choosing one to start!! Ur videos are great Im sure many math majors and engineers have been influenced by you. wouldnt doubt it if in the future some of my co-workers saw ur videos during their college career as well haha :D

  • @billybob3121 I had just the same complaint. In some cases you are going to get multiple terms, depending on the function.

  • Wouldn't the series simplify to 1 - 1/(n+1) ??? In this case it would still be equal to one but if your final n value was anything other than infinity wouldn't you get a different answer?
