A video for those who seek an answer to the
essential question: Did Snape love Lily?
And for those few who believe he did.
This is an old clip that I made after the POA DVD came out. While I mainly base my videos on slash pairings, this one is an exception. I was listening to an Evanescence album and for some odd reason this song made me think of Snape/Lily.

For your information, this video was made and uploaded to youtube, a little over a year before the Deathly Hallows book was released. Thus, it was only based on my personal belief concerning Snape and Lily's relationship.

Snape loved Lily.

He would have done anything for her, including give his life to save her son. He loved her.

But Snape wasn't evil because he could love, not because he wasn't loved. Voldemort is evil because he does not have the capacity to love, even though he is loved (by Bellatrix Lestrange) Snape is a good man, though he can appear cold, and unfeeling. He loved Lily Evans Potter his whole love, and was completly devoted to her, and by default her only son Harry.

@allieda1st But he had Death Eater tendencies throughout his years at Hogwarts. If she had married him, he would have no remorse for being a Death Eater and would continue to be one. It was because Lily died that he regretted becoming a Death Eater.

@allieda1st If she had chosen Snape, she would have been the wife of a Death Eater. It was because she died that Snape changed his allegiance and devoted the rest of his life to honoring Lily's memory.

Lily pisses me off. If she chose Snape in the very beginning neither one of them would be dead, and the only person who wouldn't have been there was Harry.... Don't get me wrong I love all three of them but Snape had such a terrible life. He put up a happy face when Lily was breathing and they were friends but it doesn't seem fair. James did get everything. Severus deserved the one person there for him.
