I'm still enjoying the reboot. Right now I'm following Synder's Batman, Detective comics, Demon Knights, Aquaman, and I'm following Action Comics a little bit. I also plan on checking out Green Lantern, Supergirl, and Green Lantern Corps.

How can you even enjoy any of the Lantern titles? They've been mired in cross over hell now for half a year!

In 2011 and 2012, the reboot really worked for DC but now... They're right back to where they were before the reboot - slowly watching the company sink.

Action Comics 1000 would have come out 8 years after the New 52. That's a really long time to wait, most especially when you were watching the whole company sinking.

I'm with you there - the New 52 was a great jumping on point!

However, two years later, I'm down to just collecting 2 titles - Snyder's Batman and Earth 2. I was buying 7 or 8 DC titles a month but the quality has just plummeted over the last year. :(

But every time the Big Two come out with new heroes, they are generally shunned or relegated to poor sales. It happens again and again and again. The current comic fandom wants their old characters in slightly new situations.

What the big 2 really need to do is diversify their lines the way Manga does and really appeal to a much larger audience. Only so many people like Super Heroes after all.

Reader want new material, they just don't want "OLD ASS" Hero pretending to be new. They'll never be new because as long as your great grandfather read them as a kid, they'll never be new.

You can "Reboot" them a thousand time, it still doesn't make them new or even original because there the same character in the same format. DC & Marvel unlike Shonen Jump, don't have the guts to let their character get old, outclassed by younger heroes an simply die off.

    That's why sales are down.

I used to only read Marvel titles, but the New 52 convinced me to check out DC comics. I completely understand how longtime readers would be furious, but on the other side of the coin, The New 52 did encourage new readers like myself to start picking up DC comics.
