Keep up the good work. There are a lot of us "homesteaders" out there! pass on the message.

I have noticed odd little climate changes in my gardens as well.. The sun is sinking further and further from in front of my house and my once "full sun" garden along the front is now "part shade"
...and that just over 5 years

@workingfolk I agree w/ you.Used to really look up to this guy, until the trademark nonsense. But it's not really about the $...They may be just tryin to live w/ as little as possible, and making lots of $ isn't their thing....which doesn't jive w/ the trademark debacle, and their lawyers sending out cease and desist letters. I'm going the aquaponic route myself, although I'll definitely be including some bio-intensive raised beds

its too bad they are trying to copyright a word like the usda did with the word organic. The problem is they didn't create the word. They had a large backlash with their little following on Facebook.

Used to have respect for their work until these relative new-comers managed to copyright the words "urban homesteading" as if somehow they own the activity. (Challenges to their copyrights are pending.) Nothing original in what they do, just tried and true methods developed by others. Growing intensively has been around forever. (See John Jeavon's book on Bio-intensive gardening.) They call themselves a farm yet incorporate as a pseudo-church. 4 people grossing 20K is a farm? They're gardeners.

I love this video and would love if everybody took on this life style.
