A little demo of my latest project of loading OSX86 on an Acer Aspire One Netbook.
There will shortly be a full posting about it on Buhboo.com.

If you're going to attempt this yourself, PLEASE purchase a copy of Leopard, it's an amazing OS and deserves a legal purchase.

**UPDATE**
Battery and Audio source auto-switching now work... see this post:

As promised here are some of the links of the tutorials I used to get it going:

  • why waste the time with dual booting? just save it and run VMware and you dont have the fragmenting issues that come with running OS X and XP from the same drive

  • If it was a faster machine I'd agree, but with the specs on this machine and limited screen real estate, a VM just doesn't work.

Plus I prefer Virtualbox, just as good as VMware but free. :)

  • You're so silly.. you think maybe it looked like the screen size changed because I was zooming in?

  • So there are a lot of people on here that don't see the links to the side that explain how to do it! Here is a more pertinent question.... I have a 8+8GB Aspire One, is it possible to install a 160GB 2.5" internal so I may attempt a triple boot (Ubuntu, Leopard, XP)? Also, underneath the battery it appears to have a SIM card slot... Does this mean I can use it as a phone too?!??

  • I do remember seeing somewhere how to replace a SSD with a 2.5" HD.. but I don't recall where I saw that. A quick Google search should turn it up. :)
