I had ACL,MCL , and Meniscus repair surgery all at the same time and it was painful i had to stay 3 nights in the hospital because i kept throwing up it stunk

I had a patella stabilsation last year and they gave me a spinal nerve block instead of a general anaesthetic. They numb the area with a local anaesthetic before they administer the actual nerve block, so it's not painful at all - the local burned a little, but didn't hurt (they may also give you some medication to calm you down a bit before they do the nerve block, this also helps with the pain if there is any) I hope this information helps - Good luck for your surgery :)

@mes13519 how bad did it hurt to get the needle for the nerve block in your leg? I have to have my knee scoped out in december and thats what scares me the most cause i hate needles

Whats the surgery like? I have a arthoscpic knee surgery to repair my meniscus tomorrow at 1:30pm but I have to be at the hospital at 11:30am.I dont know what its like cause Ive never had this surgery before.

tore my acl in a 4 wheeler accident in December of 09 the E.R. told me it was fine then i re-injured it in football finally had surgery on august 5th of 2011 had a femoral nerve block but i still woke up feeling like i got hit by a car

I'm glad you better now :) I had ACL surgery on June 17,2011. Right now it still less pain can't bend at all ,walking little bit..
