CAR CHASE from "Brannigan" - '75

I am informed the stunt driver who did the LEAP was Peter Brayham - one of British TV and movies' top stuntmen/co-ordinators of the Sixties. Joe Wadham MIGHT have been involved in the street work - he worked on "Robbery" and many other contemporary British movies.

The stunt coordinator of this movie - Peter Brayham did the jump. I 've vague memories of reading an interview with him on the net some years ago - he said there was a "tremendous bump" on landing the Capri!

@disparatedan If this film is out on blu-ray see if you can do a super zoom on the stuntdriver of the big gray car - that may have been Joe Wadham (yes I think he did stunt driving for the Sweeney series.) And of course I'm assuming you know how you know how he looked like. .compare with the super zoom on the stuntdriver!

wandsworth roundabout before the trees were planted,york road,trinity road looking very empty,in the days when worple road was cloesed and made wasteland before swandon way and the building of McD's,Homebase and B&Q,when the foot tunnel in old york road under the railway could still be used by foot,not bricked up as it is today.and no bloody Atom inside the rounabout,charringtons oils where now stands new housing for the rich and the power station in townmead road still had its chimneys..1974.

During 1975 i was living in the area of battersea on an esate were this film clip was being filmed on a playground above a car park in ingrave street battersea between two blocks of flats which if u look close out side the car being driven by john wayne you can see the windows of the flats, the playground has now been knocked down and a ground level car park is in its place.

0:58 ...and cue 70s music. Even with all the screeching and horns honking, it still seemed very quiet before that point...

...and all that without seat belts. Car chases :)
