Building Envelope Design Guide APEGBC

The Building Enclosure Design Guide -- Wood-Frame Multi-Unit Residential Buildings updates earlier best practice guides that have been instrumental in creating a consistent approach to the design and construction of effective building envelopes. This current Guide builds on previous work, including earlier editions published by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), and industry knowledge gained over the last decade: The Guide was developed by the Province in partnership with the Homeowner Protection Office (HPO) and in collaboration with an industry task group. The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC) and the Architectural Institute of BC (AIBC) have endorsed the publication as an invaluable reference for the construction industry.
