@LordProtektorKAL 7th century BC, which understandably is after the discovery of iron. I actually thought the formation was much older because the Greeks were around a long time and had enemies to fight. Hoplite infantry in phalanx formation was a big staple in their military doctrine.

pretty genius name in my opinion, has a meaning, describes the game period, is not too long and is easy to remember =)

@Agent1W phalanxes were invented in the 7th century... the game takes place from 500 B.C. to 500 A.D. .... I'm also surprised, but positive, because of the historical accuracy :D
