The game gives us a clue. He holds his arms like he's holding something. Thankfully, this part is optional (it takes only ONE golden bullet to kill him).

No idea. When you jump through the window, the minigun becomes jammed and unusable (even if you still have ammo left).

I didnt quite understand what exactly happened in the hangman room

A ghost tried to use voodoo to choke me (he was hanging a dummy on gallows). I just used another voodoo artefact (voodoo hangman rope) to pull the lever and open the trap door.
I did it very fast because I didn't want to lose much health at this point of the game.
