  • hmmm I am positve I am mixed with white/native however I want to find out where I can get dna testing done as I want to see what I came from...can you tell me where I can get this dna testing done and you sound black by the way!

  • @lucy9359 you can get DNA testing done by a number of different companies that will send you a kit. Just google them...however keep in mind that they will not be able to tell you everything about your ancestry that makes you..only a part so if it comes up you're 40% native and 60% white that's not you're true make up that's what they were able to identify. :)

  • @mcelite14 what do I google? and are you saying it is not acurate? I am in reality about 40/60 so you picked the right numbers you should play your lotto numbers, lol!

  • @lucy9359 just google ancestry dna testing that will show you a number of things..just listen to the next vid that comes after this one and it explains the issue with genetic testing but the fast answer is they can't determine who all your ancestors are. :)

  • You can take a DNA test to show if you have Indian blood.

  • @whataboutthemful listen to the rest of the series and it explains why DNA testing isn't accurate

  • Mexicans are Native Americans.

  • With all respect, I believe this misses a fundamental fallacy of the blood quantum issue. The blood quantum originally assigned to our ancestors had to be more or less arbitrary; it assumes that the gov't functionary who wrote down that fraction, be it 1/1 or 1/256, knew the exact ancestry of all that ancestor's ancestors! My goodness, we don't know who's doing whom in the Oval Office, yet blood quantum is treated as an infallible indicator of "Indian" blood.

    It's so silly, I can't believe it.

  • lol well i know for a fact i have native american in me. Cheyenne.my dad's biologic dad was one.but i'm not allowed to see he since they don't get along.also my grandma's dad was part Cherokee, but he left home at the age 14,because she choose other men over her kids.i'm black and i have brownish, reddish skin, but my older brother is very dark.but even with him you can see the indain genes showing.this was pretty helpful,i think i'll invest in one of those dna test myself.

  • @mcelite14 thanks!!!!

  • ppls like henry louis gates also add to this blood quantam. you dont need a blood test to tell you who's in your family.

  • There has been only 3 country's in the history of human civilization to practice blood quantum, First was the USA, The 2nd was Nazi Germany, and the third and finial was South Africa with the Apartheid System, Proven Fact,
