The exterior facade of the WTC was all aluminum. It has a VERY low melting point. This would certainly explain the rivers of molten material. Every time this stuff is uncovered it simply exposes it to fresh oxygen. No different than blowing on a fire. The temperature increases. Not exactly a "Smoking" gun of anything else.
