The Socialism Conference was held in Chicago, IL, on the first weekend in July. On Saturday, July 3, Salon blogger Glenn Greenwald delivered a speech on civil liberties in the age of President Obama.
@Dedhedted71 He seems more progressive than libertarian, although his focus is civil liberties. He said he was concerned with income inequality as well.
@Dedhedted71 I think he is but he is merely a guest speaker at this event. His blog is great and there are a lot of similarities between the very left and the libertarian movement. They both are concerned with a lot of the same issues. They merely have a different approach on how to solve them.

Um, Greenwald is a *Civil Libertarian*, not a Libertarian. Ginormous difference.
Civil Libertarians defend the Bill of Rights against government infringement.
Libertarians believe there's shouldn't be anything *but* the Bill of Rights
