@MrSaber152 Actually the first was Maze War, but it's closer to being the first then id's Hovertank 3D, which is pretty primitive too.

awesome game, awesome music. I dusted this off and tried to play it again a few weeks ago, and unfortunately time is a cruel mistress. Shoulda left it with the good memories I have... It's dated now but when it first came out my brother and I played this game for HOURS. We were a pretty good match up. It was hard in the later levels! I just liked being able to customize your character! MrSaber152 is right about it being ahead of its time!

i found a pc version called face ball 3000 that was the same game with better graphics

@BlasterMaster031 and if you held them down till it started it would take you to a option screen for you up your gear and warp levels.
