Yes Harley! Just because Heath Ledger is dead, it doesn't mean The Joker character has to die with him. Batman's greatest adversary should be back in the next movie being a frightful influence to Gotham's most warped criminal minds, including The Riddler. What about Dr. Harleen Quinzel herself (aka Harley Quinn) in the next Batman movie. Anything can happen.

Sorry Harley. No Joker in The Dark Knight Rises. But there is Bane (thankfully he is not the mindless brute we saw in Batman And Robin) and Catwoman. There was an idea that had The Riddler making an appearance in the next Batman movie, but that fell through. Oh well. We can always check on The Joker Blogs and Bat In The Sun Productions.

plus this is Warner Bros Batman and Joker, not Chris Nolan's, and if they thought a live action Batman & Joker movie, TV show, video game, Broadway musical would sell like gangbusters, they'd put it out in a week. I believe there are already plans to do a Batman musical in London.

@allicsirpShow Well there was Mark Hamill's Joker in BTAS, who was pretty damn good in his role and he ran with it from the early 1990s all the way up to the Arkham Asylum video game, it's not like there was a complete 30 year vacuum and a void from Jack Nicholson to Heath Ledger, plus there will be a Joker in the upcoming Batman The Dark Knight Returns animated film. Ledger was interesting, but I don't believe it's going to be 15 or 20 years till we get another Joker, I'd bet on 10 at most.

@WisdomRiver yea someone one else should give a shot after 15 years you know why???? because you can't just replace the heath ledger joker i mean look at tim burton batman with jack niccolson. 1989 !! 30 years later this joker came. i mean this is chris nolans batman and joker i mean maybe 15 ore 20 years later there could be another series of batman and another joker but now whe have to to with the heath joker

and where did u get that info????
It says something diff bout the subject in every web site u go to. who knows what will happen and if he did say he wasnt goin to have the joker in the movie he just might change his mind. and ive heard that Nolan might not even make the 3rd film. just have to wait and see.
