Nick Drake Place to Be
There are me and my friends playing on a beach at sundown,at the time we were just 20 years old.This is not principally a direction work:it's just a video of my vacances!!!But I tried to make the memory comes out through this video...like a remembrance that materializes itself.I focused more on the intrinsic value of the images than on a creative intervent:only the music leads the remebering.Its like a 'moving' old family photo!!!I thought the song of Nick Drake was perfect,because both lyrics and music have the same quality,touchable and untouchable at the same time,of the images themselves,of a remembrance.Finally,it's the conscience,full of regret,that a season of life,youth,is irretrievably passing by.

You are very lucky to have this video of your friends. It will mean so much to you in the years to come. Nicks music has a cinematic quality. It was very moving in the documentary on his life: A Skin Too Few when they juxtaposed old footage of him as a child playing on the beach with his song Northern Sky.

Bellissimo! Io la canzone ce la vedo bene sopra... dà molto un senso di malinconia, un po' come i colori e la situazione dei "20 anni che son passati e non torneranno". Ciao!
