When I used to get acrylic nails (french), I would sometimes paint them and that's when I noticed that my nail polish lasted for weeks without chipping! Unlike when I used it on my natural nails, when it would chip after a few days. I was told by a nail tech that it's the oils in your nails that makes polish chip. So, if you get sick of the Shellac colour OR you want to use glitter or a more trendy polish, you would probably get the same long lasting effect as long as Shellac is the base.

You should Try the Evolve Gel Polish (you can purchase on Facebook) i tried shellac and didnt like it. Evolve Gel polish Is my favorite. Its been 2 weeks and still looks perfect!!!! cures in only 30 seconds and they have 28 awesome colors!!

you can put glitter,foil and pigment into shellac. The uv lamp is only 9 watts...There is no skin damage from using this lamp.

@PlasmaSpeedo it's not bad stuff. it is jut a pain to take off because you have to soak your nails in acetone for about 10 minutes for the polish to flake off. Other than that, it's perfect polish. It stays shiny and hard and it only chips under harsh conditions. Give it s shot.

i have a cuticle oil and i'm 89% sure it's made by CND and it smells SOOOOO GOOOODDDDDUUUHHHH, thanks for this vid, i'm actually not educated in terms of shellac :)
