Poor Meerkat. They're very social animals, that's just not right. I used to live in Japan and I often saw these pet stores with exotic animals, like wallabies and toucans for sale. The sad thing is that at the same pet store they would sell puppies, and I could easily get a wallaby over a Labrador retriever, because wallabies were cheaper. And mind you, these pet shops were always in the open, they're weren't in back alleyways. Sad thing is these animals wont get the proper care they need.
