Rescue pigeon with a broken leg

This little fellow was in the city today ~ we noticed he has a broken leg. It was painful to watch it, because the leg looks really bad and it's obvious he's in a lot of pain, but still forced to walk. But, like a miracle, we managed to catch the bird! Everyone who's tried it knows how hard it is to catch a pigeon, they're just too fast and you have only one chance.
The bird is doing good, and this little clip was filmed on his first night here with us. The bird isn't too afraid of us for some weird reason ~ maybe he's just too young to understand what's going on? I don't know, but he just ate from my hand and allowed me to gently stroke his chest.
The next step is to get him to a vet ~ wish us good luck! I'll post a follow-up video. I just hope he's gonna make it and the leg can still be fixed.

Outstanding vid a very caring person you are. I found a injured pigeon on my way home back in the summer i swerved to miss him. i turned around and picked him up took him home to see what i could do. But it was clear that he had a fractured skull and was not going to make it. So i fed him and gave him a drink he seemed to enjoy both and he passed away a few hours later peacfully. At least the foxes didnt catch him and tear him apart while still injured

@TheAncestralVoice Thanks for the lovely comment ~ really appreciate it! Pigeons are indeed wonderful creatures, so gentle and sweet, yet packed with personality! It's sad how misunderstood they are by most people.
