I agree with others that it is haunting and sweet...
...but what makes Aimee amazing is that she's not Splenda-coated. She's raw, sarcastic and a total smartass (at least from what I observed at an amazing show at the Largo). You've turned this song into a tame lullaby instead of the hilarious diatribe on the stupidity of the Orange County mentality (I live in SoCal, believe me...it is ridiculous).
Keep up the good work though. You have your own voice, and you have a good thing going.

Hello,
I'm sorry that you think I don't render the meaning of the song in a proper way, unfortunately, we had problems understanding what this song was all about so we purely enjoyed making the music our own.
But after checking your explanation and replaying the lyrics in my mind, I think I can consider our "lullaby version" as an ironical take on the subject :)
