after watching the movie i just couldn't picture the rabbits realistically. i always imagine them the way they are in the movie: less round and more human eyes. i feel like i've failed Richard as a reader cus i'm not picturing it the way i'm supposed to :(

Ha, I remember seeing this book in a charity shop. It was in the 'young kids' section. A mother walked up to the book, and exclaimed to her 6 (or so)-year-old child, "Oh look! Watership Down! It's a book about rabbits! You'll like that one!" I left the shop trying to stifle the laughter.

Nice review. When I set the caption options to "Transcribe Audio" it said your story was about rats and the name of the book was "Want to sit down". This was funny to me at 1 in the morning.
Actually a lot of what you said was mis-transcribed. Either you need to speak clearer or Google's Transcription software is trying to tell me Watership down is about the Health Ministry or takes place in "Arkansas luntz." :D

@bumble1020 I first read this book as a teenager and enjoyed it very much. It's definitely not elementary literature, but still could be for young people - as young as middle school, if it's a style or topic they're interested in. I take it you're a Watership Down fan?
