  • What was used for the separator between the 2 half cells?

  • @domkixarse

The separator is a 1mm gypsum sheet.

  • Zinc-Sulfate= Zinc (gutter)+ sulfuric acid (gas station)

    You can buy Copper-sulfate (agriculture).

  • Cool. Is There Any Liquid In The TicTac Containers? If So What Is It? and how do you recharge it? Like a Normal Battery?

  • Yes, There is zinc-sulfate and copeer-sulfate water solution in this battery.

Charge: pc power supply 5V 1h with 1A.

  • Zinc-sulfat and Copper-sulfate

  • Pretty cool. How long did this battery remain useable/chargeable? Thanks

  • Lovely piece of work. A great use of the Tic Tac box. Always felt it was over the top for a range of sweets !

  • The point is that mp3 players are amazing things. if we would use them to play files rather than a lap top you can save a lot of energy.

  • hi nitrozil... i like ur cell very much... the separator is 1mm gypsum sheet rite ?? actually gypsum sheet is compose of calcium sulfate rite ?? isn't it the gypsum sheet is use to make the ceiling ?? usually whr can i get it ???

  • Is your gypsum diaphragm permeable?

  • szep zene :P

  • @6341026p Couldn't make it work properly with gypsm (only a small amount of current could be drawn)... couldn't get anywhere near as much current as nitrozil. But I did manage to make a non-rechargeable cell that works very well if your interested.

  • @domkixarse tell me in detail how i can make my own battery at home and what i need for that i m not chemist so please let me know easy way. thanks

  • Now that 6 months have passed by, is your battery still working?
