This is an Indian Ornamental Tree Spider (Poecilotheria Regalis). It is an aboreal spider in that it's natural habitat is dwelling in the trees.

The spider is very fast and not one to handle. It hates light and generally very timid when approaching.

The Indian Ornamental Tree Spider feet are equipped with tiny hooks (not shown on the video) and it's feet are very very sticky. This is even the case on a molted skin.

  • FUCK THAT!!

  • @Sofokleousma Kinda depends, I've heard of pet shops selling deathstalker(and other "hot" scorpions) all over before. I'd reccomend against any pet stores, I'd go for the classifieds section of Arachnoboards(.com) or Net-Bug or SwiftInverts(.com). Good luck!

  • Can i buy this species from an ordinary exotic petshop just like my chilean rose and mexican redknee?because this species has a nasty bite do they sell them freely as other common species or they have any restrictions? How much it cost?

  • WOW, she's stunning mate , nice looking setup too :)

  • Just got one! Little Devil... when he was in the portable cage he tried to open the lid by jumping and hitting it with his back. after i got home and set up his tank, he drank water for 5 minutes and went hiding in his castle. great looking spider

  • yea but thats one of the spider that you have to lock up all time or it get loose on you it must be bitch when you have to clean the tank securing the spider and all

  • aggressiveness? Don't think so, they'd rather run than stand and fight. Still depends on the individual T though, you should've gotten her man. They're a must have in any collection ;]

  • Very nice, I was offered one of these at the weekend for £38. The combination of speed, aggressiveness, climbing and a more painful bite than normal persuaded me to leave it in the shop :) Lovely spider though, really pretty, moves nice too.
