The transparent sheet he places over the painting is called paper frisket, it serves as a mask for painting and airbrushing. You can cut out the areas you want the paint to affect and let the rest of the sheet mask the already completed areas. You just use a very sharp exact to trace over your painting.

what type of paint he use what i mean is water down acrylic or oil?

Can any one tell what he use when it came time to paint he put some clear on his work be for he begin? what is that clear sheet is?
