  • Satriani once said only about one 8th of all the music he writes ever gets released what i would give to listen to the rest of his music.

he writes about life and life is a long journey of struggle, happiness, defeat victory ,success, failier but when we dream there is secretes only one can find within and the only way to share these paradoxes of pure inspiration and deep connection with our own honesty is through the melody of life... music.

  • You're right~Good thinking

    Music...Sublime

  • @trevskiw2008 I think you just have to wait for Joe to die (JOE!!! DON'T EVER DIE!!!!), then they will release the other 7 8ths for their own business.

  • @axeg Right, it is my opinion, but it is a Fact that most of his music is technically brilliant as far as its employment of modes, scales, and tempos. Anyone who ever listened to "Building The Church" would see that.

I sincerely apologize if I've offended you. This was not my intention. I was looking into the music theory within the context of their lead melody, rhythm, and tempo. One is more technical than the other, at least generally.

But hey- it's all about the opinion of the audience.

  • @ShadowLancer128 i dont personally like lady gaga, but please stop saying who's brilliant and who's not, that's not something for you to decide, many (if not all), of my teachers at music college don't even like satriani or vai, less consider them as genius or awesome or "unexplicable"... but then again, that's their opinion and express it as such

  • @jemjoesatch ...it just disappoints me when people speak of music as "an oasis."

It's so much more than a place. Music is everything. under, over, around, and away from the sun.

This is why the intelligent musician refuses to insult any part of music.

Lady Gaga's music is great because it keeps your girlfriend entertained, and because it entertains those who are not musically oriented.

Steve Vai's music is awesome because it reaches into the unexplicable musical tangent that is brilliance.

  • @ShadowLancer128 damn that is wholesome!

  • @trevskiw2008 Music.... Music.=Life.

Through melody, the mind speaks for itself, without the limitation of human language. There are certain things the human language cannot explain. This is where music comes into play.
