One of the ditches in question in Atlantic Beach stretches from Dutton Island Road to Robert Street - located off of Mayport Road. We have noticed that other ditches in Atlantic Beach have wooden guard rails so that cars, cyclists and pedestrians will not fall into the ditch. Other ditches are cleaned regularly and festooned as to ensure that the ditch is not a blithe. The concerned ditch(s) should either be piped and covered or, because this ditch is so large and deep, it should be fenced and a seawall built to stop it from spreading. This method has been done in Neptune Beach at the corner of Neptune and Penman Roads.
Repeated requests have been made and only temporary measures have been done. For instance, sand bags were placed on the shore of the ditch adjacent to Robert Street. Robert Street sometimes flood when it rains due to the ditch overflow. There are snakes, mice, turtles, an alligator and other vermin in the ditch that often come out after it rains. Children used to be able to walk across the ditch but now can drown in it. Again, this has been a problem for a long time and repeated requests have been made to address it to no avail. This community has been disrespected in the way in which the local government has responded. The ditch around the City of Atlantic Beach is treated and beatified. The ditches of concern (on both sides of Mayport Road) have been neglected to the point they look like they could be in third world countries.

Nice video, you make a valued point about the difference between the wealthy and the services they recieve compared to the working poor and the services that they do not recieve. I hope to see more videos that simply show good points, nice job.
