I had the pleasure of meeting him and listening to him play on a visit to a music shop in Marin County. He played for an hour with John Pedersen. Absolutely floored me. I had to crawl out on my hands an knees, wiping my eyes.
Needless to say, I was shortly learning "The Song of the Chanter" and "Out on the Ocean". When something like that transforms you, you just have to go with the flow.

This performance is great! I love the powerful foot stomping together with regulators accompanying a lively reel. This is real dance music!
