  • I died at "YOUR PERIOD AND MINE"

  • You know, home economics can be pretty handy. Less to "become Mrs. Johnson," and more for the ability to take care of yourself when Mom and Dad aren't around any more. My mom's going to teach me how to sew soon and I've been learning how to cook, not because my vagina dictates that I must but because it's basic life skills that come in handy. And when I have kids, I'm going to teach them how to do the same so they can take care of themselves when they grow up.

  • @TheLazybandito That's my favorite part! Ever since we first saw this, my family and I have not been able to say "Well hi!" or "How ya doin'?" to each other without referencing that line.

  • I think we should bring back home economics, and make it relevant to both genders.

  • I doubt people in the fifties put that much stock in these videos. Like the videos I watched in Health and Home Economics it's not a reflection on reality. :)

  • @0its0green0 I agree with you! However, it's obvious that's the intent of the video.

  • "I was boring until I got my Toni perm"

"Then one day Kay fiddled with accounts payable, took a long drive into the country, and got cabin A at the Bates Motel"

    "Let's see...THE BELL JAR...OUR BODIES, OURSELVES...ah, here it is--GHETTO FREAKS"

"So this is Pine City Vo-Tech"

"You lost the draw...you'll be rooming with the ice queen"

"I look at you and I go out of focus"

"Thank goodness for Head & Shoulders"

  • @purpleshamrock17 Tea rooms were also places where respectable women in those days could have a meal. Many fancy restaurants (and bars) would not allow unescorted females to enter.

  • @c3section The problem is in reacquiring the broadcast rights to many of the original films.

  • @camolanphy I assume it's a euphemism for a certain feminine hygiene product...

  • @hatonbackward I thought it was referring to the Texas Tower sniper, whose shooting spree happened on August 1, 1966.

  • @BlueEyes7452 And I hope I'm that fortunate...
