BlackTree TV Producer, Jamaal Finkley, sits down and talks with Mr Rade Sherbedgia, to discuss the new film FUGITVIVE PIECES.

FUGITIVE PIECES, adapted & directed by Jeremy Podeswa (THE FIVE SENSES, INTO THE WEST, upcoming HBO mini-series THE PACIFIC) and produced by Robert Lantos (EASTERN PROMISES, BEING JULIA, SUNSHINE), was the opening night film at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival and garnered Rade Sherbedgia the prize for Best Actor at the Rome Film Festival. A powerful and unforgettably lyrical film about love, loss and redemption, FUGITIVE PIECES tells the story of Jakob Beer (Stephen Dillane), a man whose life is transformed by his childhood experiences during WWII. As a child in Poland he is orphaned then saved by a compassionate Greek archeologist (Rade Sherbedgia.) Over the course of his life, he attempts to deal with the losses he has endured. Through his writing, and then through the discovery of true love, Jakob is ultimately freed from the legacy of his past. FUGITIVE PIECES is based on the international bestselling novel by Anne Michaels. The film co-stars Rosamund Pike, Ayelet Zurer and Ed Stoppard. Opens May 2nd. 104 minutes. In English. • @darkmaster112 Did u know that's Gregorvitch from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1?

  • It annoys me when people don't say names properly. At least they could ask how to pronounce it. Rade is pronounced with the front of the tongue, not with the back like English R's are most of the time.

Speaking of mispronounciations. "Niko Bellic" from GTA IV. It also annoyed the crap out of me that everyone pronounces it Bellik. It's pronounced like the end of Sandwich - ch.

I know this, and I'm not even from Eastern Europe.

  • @eagle502

my friend, Rade's name is not Serbedzija. It's Šerbedžija (Sherbedgia) and has NOTHING to do with Serbs. Rade himself said that he lerned that his name origins from - Georgia.

And yes, man is a Serb from Croatia. A fine man.

  • @damjandokovic "Many other SErbians from Croatia got only one-way ticket: 2m below..."
