I got my Kaoss Pad 3!!!!!!! It's so very exciting. This is my first effort at a beat using the Kaoss Pad. The samples are A/ the introduction to 'Danza Espanola' by Manuel de Falle, B/ My beat, C/ My bass line, D/ My 'counter-melody' idea kind of ting.

So anyway, I hope you enjoy my first venture into the land of KP. Constructive criticism always welcome.

  • I can't offer any constructive criticisms, I just want to say I love it :D

  • Thanks so much!

  • how are you using pad 4 as a one shot?!

or are you just switching that sample on and off REALLY fast!?

  • I'm actually using the 4th sample bank with a different trigger mode. When you press the sample button, it plays, when you let go it stops. The sample keeps running all the time though, so you hear whatever part of the sample it's at when you hit the key. It's hard to explain...

  • @psychopath3000 that makes perfect sense, but how do you achieve that functionality - is it simple a reloop feature without the original sound from the first loop? I am a little confused.

  • @dkrasney You have to install the Kaoss Pad software update. Not sure how I did that now. Then you hold shift and the sample bank button. Then you select 2. There are four different trigger modes in all.

  • THIS IS AWESOME!! Keep sending the vids! Just Subbed ya!

  • Clever use of bank D there, love it :D

  • bravo!

  • Very nice! What effect are you using from ~2:30 onwards?

  • No worries... I think I hear what you're saying... it's basically similar to a "one shot" kind of mode (like on MPCs, etc.)

I've got a KP3 as well and never realized you could use the pads that way. (I should probably read the manual lol) This definitely opens up some possibilities. Thanks for continuing to inspire. Keep it up, mate!
