So if you like the heavy parts lean left, and if you like clean guitar lean right...TOWARDS YOUR SPEAKERS! :)
I also worked real hard on the music to make it a piece of music and not just unbridled guitar-man-ship going off the cuff. I am a writer, not an improviser...like Angus Young with his well-written solos. Joe Satriani of course prefers a strong melody too. I knew there was a good reason why I love his playing. I seldom just wank exercises in preference to making music and that's why by the time I record a song, I can tab the solo note for note. Not that I want to sit there with a guitar in my hand and be writing on paper for 4 hours straight. lol My playing style is hopefully original and I strive for a balance between melodic and moody and showing off technical prowess where tasteful...personally I need more of both. ;)
Original backing track created by Dan Morgan and performed by Anthony McLeod.
GEAR USED:
Line 6 PODxt Amp Modeler. Zenabi Custom Guitar (wood) with Seymour Duncan Blackouts active pickups. Ibanez RG470L (blue) with EMG 81 active pickups and fixed bridge. The Lo-TRS bridge sucks though and won't hold a tune, so I cut a piece of hard wood to block the trem from floating and now it is essentially a fixed bridge with fine tuners.
Sony Vegas Movie Studio (video editing software) The software can do some cool things, but the video max is 3 layers. Anyway, the PC drags and can't play all that stuff in real-time, so I work "bit by bit" and make sure sound and video lines up and then add the FX...after that I can't play the video without the computer going into a convulsion and not playing the sound and video in time and quite disturbingly choppy. So it's always a gamble hoping the finished project rendering is perfect until it is done. Scary! lol Well, I painted a wall in my room green for green screening, but my lighting is terrible and I don't have money to spend on lights. For this reason my wall is not evenly lit and doesn't disappear properly with the Chroma-keying feature. Sorry about that!
If I missed anything just ask! Take care, Aaron Gray

Well I lived in Niagara Falls Canada my whole life until I relocated to Southern California for music. Of course I'm still a big nobody, but if I ever return I'll take you up on that offer. Call the band South Paw Curse! lol
