GT5 - Nurburgring at night / dawn

Please read: Just a little mess around on the Nurburgring at night. Sorry this only features the replay view and sorry about the quality I used a Cybershot camera.

The time changes at around 4 minutes in... and I think it looks pretty AMAZING when it does so. Check out the smoke effects on the approach to the carousel!

I usually drive with my DFGT wheel but this was done with the joypad so I made a few mistakes - I ALWAYS screw up the last few turns with the joypad.

day to night is better just when the sun is setting, as for screwing up the last few corners? thats just an excuse for out braking yourself and not knowing the racing line! other than that, cool vid!

@andynineteen76 Believe me the laps I've put into the green hell I KNOW the racing line, however I'm pretty shocking with the joypad these days. (I wouldn't like to drive my actual car with a joypad!) I mostly always play using the DFGT wheel which allows me to be much more precise but this video shows a joypad based replay. Excuses aside thanks for your comments! I'm glad they included real time transitions but just gutted I can't commit time to the game to unlock the 24hour races.

@Michaelswk93 I own the Signature Edition and you are given 6x Stealth Cars and 5x Chromeline cars. One of the Chromeline cars is the Orange M3 with chrome 'go fast' stripes and a chrome GT logo on either side. You can also unlock these cars in Collectors Edition however they are not available on standard edition. (You may be able to find a collectors edition voucher code on ebay or somewhere that will unlock them on your version).

No, you can set up a custom playlist of MP3's on your PS3 and play them in-game. The lyrics of the music that played during this race seemed to fit perfectly "I don't know where we are going now" as it's night and "Take a look at me now" as the sun rises and you can actually see the car.

@JStalin195 You can change the setting. The 24 hour race is real time (ie: 1 minute = 1 minute). In this video however I'd set the game to 1 minute = 60 minutes. This exaggerates the effect so that you'll see the full day cycle in 24 minutes of game play. If you want to play realistically just set the time of day progression setting to "1".
