LOST.TV - CORY'S LEFT. Cory Lopez on his first wave during a historical session at "the new Cape St. Francis". Cory went to this spot a month earlier but had to bail before he scored it on a good swell but he vowed to return. This is the first wave of that return session and the first time this wave has been recorded on video. Lots of seals, lots of rubber and lots of things that eat seals. Cory's riding a quad "Monk Fish" Biolos shaped specifically for this wave. Look for the rest of Cory's epic session - along with Ian Walsh and Alek Parker - in our upcoming movie 5'5" x 19 1/4" Redux. We're saving the rest of the waves for the movie. This wave wouldn't have even made the final cut if it wasn't for the novelty of being his first wave.

  • those were not claims! those were "can you believe this sh%t?" stances...

  • Those seals by the way don't scramble like that for nothing. Coulda been a Killer Whale chasing them though. The locals didn't speak very good English but they managed to say big shaks over and over. Maybe they meant big shacks. Worth it though.

  • He was not that deep - but that was his first wave. There are others where he gets two or three five second barrels before an 18 second barrel - and he was in the barrel when the clip started. No 30 second barrels though - but definitely routine 20 - 30 seconds of tube time per wave. The wave here is about the 20th best wave. 5'5 redux should be out by 1st week in December.

  • the paddle back out would be so sketchy!

  • And after the wave, you have a 15 minute paddle back out! haha, sick wave, even if i am regular....

  • I am goofy so this would be paradise!

  • @69propane there is no such place...but keep looking

  • Google Earth Skeleton Bay in Angola Africa ,,,

  • Insane

  • It's nambia Africa, the only problem there is hard to get to location, it is full of 100 s of seals, suffers have been bitten there, and then you got white pointers and killer whales.... Kind of sux as it is a kirra style wave but a left....

  • were those dolphins or seals to the left at 0:34?

  • it would suck if you had to paddle back out :D
