  • Why does one join the Armed Forces with the goal of NOT going to war? When you sign up, you acknowledge several times you may have to go to far away lands and do bad things. If you don't have the balls to serve, then DON'T sign up. Jackass.

  • im sure he's a good person; but why enlist????

he shouldnt have joined in the first place....and Gitmo bay should be shut down

  • Unless youve seen with your own eyes what goes on there, you really have no ground to say what you assume is going on from the liberal media. My opinion nothing wrong going on their. Other than no trials. That is happening, because liberal lawyers want to bitch about how its done. A military tribunal is the only appropriate venue. Its funny how a good number have returned to the fight after being released. Maybe we should release them so we can get rid of them, when they try and fight again

  • To allgoo19: I will say I do know acts of terrorism towards anyone is unlawful. Some attacks that come to mind are as follows: World Trade Center (x2), Shanksville, Pentagon, Munic, Lockerbee, Spain, Germany, Japan, Africa, Oklahoma(American attacker), Riyad, Fort Hood to name a few. So to answer your question I firmly believe the detention of the detainees in Cuba is just when it comes to intel and in the interest to national security.

  • @Honkynees "Based on his comments..'

    No reply?

Do you know why you are bothered so much about this guy? Based on what you told me, you haven't figure that out yet.

Do you think the treatment of detainee in Gitmo is lawful? It's probably not your concern if it's lawful or not. It's not where problem is at.

In his judgement, he thought it was "illegal order" and many civilians and even some people in military thought it was.

  • @allgoo19 Based on his comments (he stated he is considered trailor trash), the way he carries himself makes me believe he is not all there. This is personal opinion mind you. I do not know this lad personnally or really know what he has been through. I do know he is young and may not know what the mission is and why we are doing it clearly. He did not have to join the military but yet he did. I do not know what kind of treatment you are refering to.

  • @Honkynees "military members must disobey illegal orders."

Sorry, I made my first comment based on misreading your comment.

So you think, he's substandard because he didn't disobey his role in Gizmo even though he thought the treatment of the prisoners were unlawful? If not, what makes him substandard?

Or you think the treatment is lawful?
