Willie the Weeper (Roud 977) is a song about drug addiction, written by Frankie "Half-Pint" Jaxon in 1927. It is the basis for Cab Calloway's Minnie the Moocher[1][2] The Dave Van Ronk version may be the inspiration for the Velvet Underground's Heroin. Members of Acker Bilks Jazz band include Acker Bilk, Colin Smith, Ernest Price, Jonathan Mortimer, Ken Simms, Ronald McKay
@radarek1944 ken simms who played in his own right trumpet, cornet, vocals & drums but i cant find what he played for acker bilks jazz band, and Ronald McKay who i think was the drummer. Im not a great researcher but i hope this helps.

Great tune and a beat. Who's the band that Mr. Acker Bill performs with. I know he can sing nice as well but I'm not sure if this is him doing the solo vocals. Any additional information on this composition? Of course thanks for posting this gem for all of us to enjoy!
