Penny Lane was recorded by the Beatles as a single in 1967 and later released on their album Magical Mystery Tour. In this iVideosongs title, Beatles LOVE producer Giles Martin details the stacked pianos, orchestral instruments, and tape speed manipulation that were used in the lengthy recording process. iVideosongs instructor Rob Schumann demonstrates a guitar adaptation of the chord progression originally recorded on piano. Intermediate-level players will benefit from learning the creative chord voicings and altered bass note technique used in this medium-tempo song, played on acoustic guitar in down a half step tuning. This is a sample of a longer video available for download at iVideosongs.com.
