Why didn't an authentic Irish person rise among the people to become the country's patron saint? An Englishman... I've seen everything! :)

It's entirely possible to "love" people and avoid pork at the same time. Respect all the laws as best as possible; that includes the eating of pork products. Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." The grace that Christ provides is one of an example. His way. The way Jesus did things! He fulfilled the law of the G-d, Almighty.

Do you not remember why God made all those rules? Because He wanted Israel to be an example of His love and provision to the nations. But they turned those rules into an excuse to regard all other nations as scum not worthy of God's favor. How can you be an example of God's love to Gentiles if your message to Gentiles is that they're just a bunch of dirt bags? A doctor may be healthy himself, but if he refuses to come into contact with the sick, he'll never treat them, and he'll be useless.

The commandments of God are first and foremost to love Him and to love people. If you put avoiding pork over loving people, you are breaking God's commandments. That was His point to Peter. He had called Cornelius clean, and it was not Peter's place to call Cornelius unclean. Read Galatians again. Clearly you need to brush up on the stark contrast between Pharisitical legalism and the grace Christ provides.

Actually, it was Peter! I mixed up the names. I encourage you to stop eating the flesh of swine. G-d doesn't change His mind. Are you contending that Peter was a Prophet and that his dream was meant to be a prophecy that negates what was stated explicitly in Deuteronomy ch.14 v.8? So does that mean you eschew everything else because it was in the "old" testament?

    3. What ridicule? Jesus simply said that anyone who changes the will / commandments of G-d (no matter how small) is NOT a true believer and unbecoming of the Kingdom.

    4. You knew I meant PETER!

    5. The fact remains, that PORK is unclean and that Believers should NOT even touch their carcass let alone eat of it.

You are ridiculing the faith. You didn't even comment on the consumption of swine, just my insignificant errors in names which has nothing to do with the heart of the matter.
