Here are a number of images taken during every step involved with building an electric guitar. This guitar costed around $1100 to make and was machined using CNC machines. Uses Gibson pickups, the same pickups used on the Gibson Les Paul guitar. Enjoy!

PS - Pardon the crude recording

  • whoa $1100? I made mine for around $750 and I thought it was because I had a locking trem system. I didn't build the body from scratch though, but I'm planning to do a second build from scratch. For your guitar, was the expensive part making the body and neck themselves? Or did the budget include the CNC machine?

  • The CNC was free, the wood was very expensive. Pickups, knobs etc. also cost a fair bit to ship. However the largest expenses came in the finish which was done partially at an auto-body shop.

  • beutifle music lol

  • Nice spelling

  • at 1:22 what does BRS stand for?

  • It is the initials of my father and I.

  • The unfortunate matter is I know much more how to play guitars more than I know about them... Where do I start if I wanna build one?

  • You got fucked. 1100 dollars?? How much is shippin again? Hell i just got two emgs for about $100 shippin included. That being said love the guitar! ive always wanted to build one and am still intending to this just gave me some inspiration!

  • I bet there's a sense of value and pride when it comes to playing a guitar that you built yourself

I really, really want to build and design my own guitar *determined face*

  • what type of stain or grain sealer are you using in the picture at 1:00 to make the grain gray?

  • @PennybagDarrell exactly, but why are u saying that to me, i was just saying what he said was fucking stupid, haha

  • @DowntownTB13 dude if its $25 it's not a floyd rose.

  • the body is great. its not too steep like alot of other guys do it. ahhh.. just curious are you playing through a mini amp?

  • @zacyboyZ why would you buy a $25 floyd rose???? i'd get one that was like 100 so i know that its pretty good

  • the one im building is running about 400-500$ right now

its sick ill post a video

  • i haven't started trying to make a custom body yet but i probably will over the summer while i have spare time and i'm sure if you get a piece of wood then reshape it and take the neck/pickups/pickguard/other hardware off another guitar its alot cheaper
